Sales rotate, and certain things you will find at rock-bottom prices during different "seasons" or holidays. What can you find on sale during November and December? Well, all things that you might would use during a holiday meal for starters....here's a list:
Baking Goods: Nuts, chocolate chips, evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, coconut, cake and brownie mixes, Chex cereal.
Holiday Foods: Turkey, canned pureed pumpkin, stuffing mix, boxed potatoes, gravy mixes, ready-to-bake rolls, frozen pies, cranberry sauce, gelatin, marshmallows, hot cocoa, olives, fried onion topping, soups and broths.
Seasonal Produce: Apples, beets, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, carrots, celery, cranberries, kiwis, lemons, oranges, pears, pomegranates, potatoes, pumpkin, squash, yams, diabetes items.
Cold/Medicines: Cough drops, flu/cold medicine, tissues, lip balm.
When you see these items hit their rock bottom price, stock up for at least 6 months! Check back towards the end of the year to see what will be on sale in January. Think "New Year's Resolutions" - weight loss, cleaning, health foods, etc.
