Walgreens 11/18

Here are some of the highlights from Walgreens Ad.  Walgreens opens in Danville on November 19.  There are a few things you need to know about couponing at Walgreens.  First, you can't have more coupons than items, so you may need to pick up a filler item.  I usually will just pick up a pack of gum, or maybe a greeting card, something I'll use and is worth getting.  Also, you can't "roll" your register rewards on the same item.  So, let's say you purchase the Tums, you can buy multiples of these but you can't purchase them in the same transaction.  It will only print out one register reward.  So, you can do two transactions, putting one Tums in each.  You can't use your register reward from the first transaction to pay for the second transaction because it's the same item and will cancel out the register reward you will get for your second purchase of Tums.  It's confusing, I know.  So, what I would do in this case, is purchase your Tums in 2 separate transactions, and hold onto your register rewards for next week, or they do say manufacturers coupon at the top, so I've used them at Food Lion and Walmart before.
